Glenview Park District Strategic Plan 2010-2013

GLENVIEW, IL, Friday, June 25, 2010 – The Glenview Park District Board of Commissioners voted to approved the district's Strategic Plan for 2010-2013 at its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, June 24, 2010.

The Glenview Park District is a leader in the state with regard to the wide variety of quality recreational facilities offered to the public and was a 2009 finalist for the National Recreation and Park Association's Gold Medal Award. The 2010-2013 Strategic Plan was developed using input from a community-wide survey, staff and board committees and a citizen advisory committee and focuses on continual improvement and "Delivering Excellence Through Innovation." The plan outlines park district priorities for the next three years and includes strategic initiatives and supporting recommendations in the following areas:

  • Conservative Fiscal Planning for Long Term Sustainability
  • Enhance the Experience at Facilities & Parks
  • Expanding Environmental and Historical Stewardship
  • Broaden and Strengthen Community & Intergovernmental Relationships
  • Enhance Food Service Experience
  • Deliver Innovative and Customer-Focused Programming
  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Service Through Operational Efficiencies and Technology
  • Optimize Our Talent Pool
  • Expand Strategic Marketing to Achieve Business Results
