Registration Questions

Q. Whom do I call and where do I go to register for programs/services?
A. All Park Center, Grove and Wagner Farm programs are registered at the Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave. Other programs are registered at the facility that offers the program.

Q. Can I register by phone?
A. No. You may register in person, fax or mail your registration or register online.

Q. Are there registration forms online?
A. Yes. Registration forms are available to download and print.

Q. Can I register online?
A. Yes, most programs for recreation, The Grove and Wagner Farm have real-time registration. A User ID and Password are required. Please call Park Center at (847) 724-5670 to obtain this information. Those without a User ID and Password may browse our programs as a guest.

Q. Can I check class availability on the website?
A. Yes. Once you have your User ID and Password, this information is available online.

 

Q. I didn’t receive my confirmation. Could you tell me which classes I am in?
A. If you did not receive or have misplaced your confirmation you can call Park Center at (847) 724-5670 to inquire about classes at Park Center, Wagner Farm and The Grove. Please have a copy of your registration when calling. You may also log in to our online registration system using your household number and last name, click on My Account and then click on Reprint A Receipt. Select the receipt dated closest to the most recent registration deadline to view or print a receipt that shows your registration status.

Q. Do I have to pay even though my child will be placed on the waiting list?
A. Yes. By offering a paid waiting list, when a spot becomes available, we will call the first on the waiting list, if that person is able to attend they will be immediately placed within it. Refunds will be issued to those that were on the paid waiting list, but not placed within the class after the second meeting of the class. There is not an option for a second choice when registering online. You can download a copy of the registration form (click here) and either mail in or fax your completed form.

Q. If I need to cancel out of a program or class what do I need to do?
A. A refund will only be issued up to 24 hours after the first class meeting. (See Refund Policy). A cancellation request form must be completed. A 10% cancellation charge per program will be assessed, with a minimum fee of $5 and a maximum fee of $15 per program.

Q. How do I know if I am a Glenview Park District resident?
A. Residents of the park district pay taxes to support the district. Check your real estate tax bill to confirm you are a Glenview Park District resident. If you have questions regarding residency, call (847) 724-5670.

Q. Do you accept debit cards?
A. Yes. If the debit card has a Master Card, Visa or Discover Credit logo.

Q. How will I know if a softball/baseball game has been cancelled due to weather?
A. You can call the outdoor sports hotline number, (847) 604-1893, for up to the minute information on game cancellations.

Q. Are there directions to the Parks for all locations?
A. Yes. All parks are listed with names and addresses and a map quest link for directions to the parks.

Q. How do I report vandalism, graffiti, or other problems in the park?
A. To report any problems in a park, during normal business hours please call (847) 657-3215, after hours, please call the non-emergency number of the police department at (847) 729-5000.

Q. Can I walk my dog in the park?
A. Glenview Park District Ordinance No. 99-28 allows leashed dogs to be walked on paved pathways and parking lots at Cunliff, Diederich, Sleepy Hollow, Ladendorf, Rugen, Countryside Lane, Flick, Indian Trail, and Hawthorne Glen Parks and on the perimeter sidewalks (only) at Roosevelt Park, Swenson Park, West Fork Park and Community Park West. Dog walking is still prohibited on sports fields, playground areas, tennis courts, basketball courts, tot lots and all other park areas. Warning: The Glenview Police are authorized to enforce these regulations and a violation could result in a ticket. The Forest Preserve of Cook County provides a play area for unleashed dogs.
