Glenview's Center for Fun!

Park Center is an award-winning community center that is the hub of the Glenview Park District. This prairie style multi-purpose community center, one of the largest in the state of Illinois, is located in the heart of The Glen on the shores of Lake Glenview. Winner of the 2001 Illinois Park & Recreation Association’s award for Outstanding Multiple Use Facility, Park Center offers something for everyone. Here you can:

  • Work out at our friendly state-of-the-art fitness center
  • Swim year round at Splash Landings, rated as the best indoor water park in the north shore by North Shore Magazine
  • Play a game of pick-up basketball
  • Walk or run no matter what the weather on our second story indoor track overlooking Lake Glenview
  • Attend a class from our extensive selection of arts, dance, parent-tot and preschool classes
  • Make new friends at the Senior Center, which celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2008

Our seven state-of-the-art early childhood classrooms are the site of our Park Center preschool program for 2-4 year olds as well as numerous parent and tot and preschool specialty classes.

Our Cultural Arts wing is the home of our Glenview Children’s Theatre program, dance and ceramics studios, and fine arts classes for all ages.

Adult and Youth Sports Programming

Adult leagues in softball, soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball, and sand volleyball and youth leagues in flag football, basketball, girls’ softball and volleyball are coordinated through Park Center.

Our three-lane, one-eighth mile indoor track is available at no cost to residents and nonresidents. Several Open Gyms for adults and youth are offered in our main gymnasium for a nominal fee.
