The Grove Heritage Association

History & Purpose
The Grove Heritage Association is the citizen support organization of the Grove National Historic Landmark. In March of 1973, The Grove was about to be lost forever to development. A small group of people inclined towards environmental and historic preservation banded together to form the "Save The Grove" committee. In 1976, with their mission accomplished by inclusion of The Grove into the Glenview Park District, the group dissolved in order to establish The Grove Heritage Association.

The G.H.A. is dedicated to preserving The Grove as a specimen prairie grove that, because of its unusual history, is a living compendium of biological knowledge.
