Get Involved

The Glenview Farmers Market could not operate without the support of the community. Here are some ways YOU can get involved:

Get Involved & Support Your Local Farmers!

If you would like to make a difference in promoting our local food system, come be a volunteer at the farmers’ market! Volunteers are needed on Saturday mornings from mid-June through mid-October in the following positions:

Set-up/Take-down – Early risers needed for this one!  Help set up canopies, tables, barricades and signs for the market and take it all down at the end.  Some heavy lifting involved.

Information Table Attendant – Greet customers, answer questions about the farmers market, distribute informational material, and track daily attendance.

Manager’s Assistant – Assist the farmers market managers by substituting for volunteers who are absent, collecting and returning wagons, distributing materials and information to vendors and customers, and more.

Green Table Assistant – Assist the weekly Green Table guest expert on environmental sustainability by setting up and dismantling booth, attracting and greeting visitors, distributing informational material and samples, and helping initiate discussion with visitors about the featured topic.

Parking Attendant – Monitor vehicle parking and direct vehicles to available parking.

Crossing Guard – This job entails putting on a reflective vest, holding a STOP sign, and helping customers safely cross the road.

Special Events – Help organize opening and closing day vendor events and assist with a variety of tasks the day of the events.

Please Note: All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, and volunteer parking attendants must be at least 22 years of age.
