The Glenview Ice Center is pleased to be affiliated with the U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills Program, the official learn-to-skate program of the national governing body for figure skating. The Basic Skills Program was designed by US Figure Skating to be the best beginning and continuing ice skating program to serve the needs of both recreational and competitive skaters. Our program is led by Figure Skating Director Dorie Cascio, who has coached International and National level synchronized skating teams and is a member of the Professional Skating Association and U.S. Figure Skating. All Glenview Ice Center figure skating instructors are CerC certified through the U.S. Basic Skills program.

Synchronized Skating Teams
Synchronized skating is a team sport in which 8-20 skaters perform a program together. The Glenview Ice Center is proud to be the home of the Glenview Blades. Our teams follow the guidelines of U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills Synchronized Skating program.
If you are interested or have any questions about Synchronized Skating, call Dorie Cascio at 847-724-2800 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The success of Glenview’s Synchronized Skating teams is due in large part to the efforts of the team families who make up the Glenview Blades Organization. Blades families volunteer at various events throughout the year. The bulk of their volunteer efforts are geared towards fundraising to help defray team costs of items such as costumes, tights, t-shirts, team dinners, competition entry fees and more.
