Lessons & Programs

The Glenview Tennis Club offers one of the North Shore’s most extensive and progressive lesson programs with classes for skill levels from beginning to advanced and from ages preschool through adult. Our experienced teaching professionals customize their teaching styles to make certain all students get the most from their lesson experience. We pride ourselves on taking the time to get to know our students to assure that they are placed with the correct instructor who will meet their individual needs and ensure their success with the game. Tennis done right—at the Glenview Tennis Club!

Indoor Lessons

The Tennis Club offers three sessions of indoor tennis lessons for children and adults throughout the indoor tennis season as well as a summer session.

  • Junior Lesson Format: Our junior program starts with Quick Start Tennis for children ages 3-10. This format is designed to get your child playing tennis almost immediately, with equipment, shorter court dimensions and low compression balls designed to fit kids. When your child is ready to play on a regulation sized court, class placement becomes based on age and ability.
    • An in-house singles matchplay on Friday evenings or Sunday afternoons gives Juniors an opportunity to have an additional day of play during the week. It is open to anyone currently enrolled in junior group lessons Level II and up. The cost is included in your class fee. For further details, contact Junior Coordinator Andrew Hetsko at andrew.hetsko@glenviewparks.org. See front desk for sign up details.
  • Adult Group Lessons and Drills are available for beginners through advanced level players. Our Start/Restart program is available for adults just getting into the game, or returning to tennis. We also offer our unique Tennifit classes that provide a more strenuous workout to enhance your fitness level for on court play.
  • For more personalized instruction, GTC offers private and semi-private lessons as well. For adult or junior private lessons, please contact Dorothy Carlson at dorothy.carlson@glenviewparks.org.
