Payments & Deposits

For all camps, clinics and Kids Zone programs listed in this publication (except Flex Camps): Programs costing $199 or less must be paid in full at the time of registration. Payment may be made by cash, check, Visa/Mastercard or Discover card. Programs costing $200 or greater may be paid in full or you may elect to pay a $75 deposit per session per child at the time of registration if registered by April 1. Deposits and balances due may be paid with cash, check, Visa/Mastercard, Discover card or debit card with a Visa or Mastercard logo. However, if you elect to pay a deposit, you must provide us at the time of registration with a Visa, Mastercard or Discover card account number. Electing to pay the $75 deposit automatically enrolls payer into a monthly payment plan. Payments are equally distributed and charged to the designated credit card on the 1st of every month through June 1.  Any registration received after April 1 will require payment in full at the time of registration.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Checks should be made payable to Glenview Park District. A $20 processing fee is charged for returned checks. The park district accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card and debit cards on which a Mastercard or Visa logo appears. You may also use a Glenview Park District Gift card if registering in person.

Waiting List Policies

  1. If the camp you have selected is full, your payment will be processed and you will be put on the waiting list for that section.
  2. Participants may only be added to a wait list section if they have not been accepted into another section of that same class. Once the participant has been accommodated into a section of the program, they may not maintain a waiting list spot on any other section for that same program.
  3. Participants may be placed on a maximum of one waiting list section of any program (except Flex Camp).
  4. To be added to a waiting list, a program registration form must be completed and pay the program fee in full or by deposit if deposits are accepted for that camp. You may not be added to a waiting list by phone call or hand written note. Your position on the waiting list is based upon when your registration form with payment is processed by the district.
  5. If there are no openings after the first two weeks of the program, your payment will be refunded in full.

May I register for a friend?

In order to register for a friend you must bring a completed registration form on which the Waiver and Release of All Claims and Assumption of Risk has been signed by the parent. Only one additional form per person will be accepted when registering in person.

How do I know if I’m in a program?

If you are registering online or from the digital brochure, you will be able to print your own receipt. If you are registering in person, you will be given the choice of a paper receipt or an e-mailed receipt at the time of registration. If you mail/fax your registration, your receipt will be e-mailed or mailed to you. If you are placed on a wait list, the initial receipt will show that you are on the wait list and you will receive an updated receipt once you have been placed in the class. In the event your program is cancelled, you will be notified and your program fee refunded.

Transfer & Refund Policy

Transfers are allowed up to 48 hours after the first program meeting. This timetable provides the flexibility for a participant to try a camp or clinic while helping the district assess changes in availability before too many sessions have occurred. A $10 transfer fee will be charged for each additional transfer involving the same individual after the first transfer.

Refunds will be granted up to 48 hours after the first program meeting. A 10% cancellation charge per total program fee per child will be assessed for camps up to a maximum of $75 per program per child. After 48 hours, no refunds will be granted except for medical purposes or change in residence (proof required) and there will be a pro-rated refund based upon number of program sessions held.

How do I get a refund?

Call (847) 724-5670 or visit Park Center 2400 Chestnut Ave. to apply for a refund. Allow two weeks to receive your refund. Refunds will be issued net of any outstanding balance owed by you for programs or activities. If there is no outstanding balance, the refund will be made by check or credit card based upon the method of payment used at the time of registration. No refund checks issued under $2.

Are you covered?

The park district does not carry medical or accident insurance for program participants.
