If you do not know your Household Number but have registered for a park district program within the last three years, you may click on “Register Now” on the home page of the Glenview Park District website (glenviewparks.org) and then click on “If you have an account with us…” to have your Household Number emailed to you.  If you have never registered for a park district program before, you must submit a paper registration form along with a copy of one of the following documents showing proof of residency: signed house purchase contract or apartment lease, current gas or electric bill, real estate tax bill, or homeowners or rental insurance policy. Your Household Number will be shown at the top left of your registration confirmation e-mail. Be sure to include your e-mail address when filling out the paper registration form.

Any registration received after March 15 will require payment in full at the time of registration.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Beginning March 16, all camp fees increase by 10%. Note: For those who take advantage of the early bird discount but transfer to another camp after March 15, the early bird discount for the new camp does not apply.

Waiting List Policies

  1. If the camp you have selected is full, your payment will be processed and you will be put on the waiting list for that section.
  2. Participants may only be added to a wait list section if they have not been accepted into another section of that same camp. Once the participant has been accommodated into a section of the program, they may not
maintain a waiting list spot on any other section for that same program.
  3. Participants may be placed on a maximum of one waiting list section of any program. (except Flexible Options Camp)
  4. To be added to a waiting list, you must complete a program registration form or online registration and pay the program fee in full or by deposit if deposits are accepted for that camp. You may not be added to a waiting list by phone call or handwritten note. Your position on the waiting list is based upon when
your registration with payment is processed by the district.
  5. If there are no openings after the first two weeks of the program, your payment will be refunded in full.

May I register for a friend?

In order to register for a friend you must bring a completed registration form on which the Waiver and Release of All Claims and Assumption of Risk has been signed by the parent. Only one additional form per person will be accepted when registering in person.

How do I know if I’m in a program?

If you are registering on-line, you will be able to print your own receipt. If you are registering in person, you will be given the choice of an e-mailed or paper receipt. If you mail/fax your registration, your receipt will be e-mailed or mailed to you. If you are placed on a wait list, the initial receipt will show that you are on the wait list and you will receive an updated receipt once you have been placed in the class. In the event your program is cancelled, you will be notified and your program fee refunded.

Transfer & Refund Policy

Transfers are allowed up to 48 hours after the first program meeting. This timetable provides the flexibility for a participant to try a camp, program or clinic while helping the district assess changes in availability before too many sessions have occurred. For Playtime Pals, Sun Troopers and Fun Quest, a $10 transfer fee will be charged for each additional transfer involving the same individual after the first transfer. Refunds will be granted up to 48 hours after the first program meeting. A 10% cancellation charge per total program fee per child will be assessed, for camps up to a maximum of $75 per program per child up until May 10. Beginning May 11, a 20% cancellation charge per total program fee per child will be assessed, for camps up to a maximum of $200 per program per child. After 48 hours, no refunds will be granted except for medical purposes or change in residence (proof required) and there will be a pro-rated refund based upon number of program sessions held.

How do I get a refund?

Call 847-724-5670 or visit Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave. to apply for a refund. Allow two weeks to receive your refund. Refunds will be issued net of any outstanding balance owed by you to the park district. If there is no outstanding balance, the refund will be made by check or credit card based upon the method of payment used at the time of registration. No refund checks issued under $2.

Does the Glenview Park District prorate camp fees?

Registration begins in January and many of Glenview Park District’s camps are extremely popular and registration within the camps are at a premium. A lot of planning and preparation goes into each camp by full time staff and camp staff. When participants register after camps begin, many procedures go into motion and are executed by several different staff to ensure a smooth transition into camp for the late registrant. Because of this, prorating of camp fees does not occur.

Register BEFORE June 5!

Beginning at 12 PM on June 5, everyone registering for camps will be placed on a wait list. This is necessary for camp supervisors and directors to finalize plans for the first week of camp and to finalize all the necessary paperwork. This is done to better serve all the parents and campers on that all important first day of camp. Beginning Wednesday, June 12, camp supervisors will contact families on the wait lists to inform them if they have been enrolled into the camp. Those on the wait lists will not receive a prorated fee for missing the first day(s) of camp.

Are you covered?

The park district does not carry medical or accident insurance for program participants.
