Summer Referendum Construction Information

The Glenview Ice Center will shut down completely this May-August, and again in Summer 2020 for major construction work. Summer programs will be held at alternate locations. The Fall 2019, Winter 2020 and Spring 2020 sessions of figure skating and hockey will take place at the ice center, with temporary conditions supporting the current Main Rink. Construction will take approximately 16 months, with a grand opening celebra¬tion of the new Glenview Community Ice Center in Fall 2020.

Summer 2019 Programming

We are excited to work with the Winnetka Ice Arena to offer lessons and programs at their facility beginning the week of June 10. Figure skating programs will run on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Hockey programs will run on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.

There will be no public skating in Glenview and no passes will be accepted at any other rink.

Experience Fun on IceIce Center

Whether you are a recreational skater, a hockey enthusiast or an aspiring figure skating star, the Glenview Ice Center is the perfect place for you! You can: Enjoy quality time with your family at our Public Skating Sessions. Take advantage of a full range of figure skating classes at the Glenview Ice Center Figure Skating School. Introduce your children to the exciting sport of Ice Hockey. Discover Broomball—a hockey-like game that’s played on the ice without skates and is fun for all ages! Rent a rink or host a party in one of our Party/Meeting Rooms.

Advertise Your Business on the Main Rink Dasher Boards!

The Glenview Ice Center is pleased to offer dasher board advertising to businesses. The Ice Center is open year round and on average, almost 10,000 people walk through our doors weekly to participate in or be a spectator of our various programs. With dasher board advertising at the Glenview Ice Center, your message will gain repetitive exposure to highly active participants and their families who are typically affluent and upwardly mobile.
